  • Japan captain Ozu Moreira wins adidas Golden Ball
  • adidas Golden Scorer is Gabriele Gori's for second consecutive time
  • Portugal goalkeeper Andrade wins adidas Golden Glove

Ozu Moreira has been named as the best player of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Paraguay 2019™ by the FIFA Technical Study Group, taking home the adidas Golden Ball for his outstanding performances on the sands of Asuncion.

The adidas Golden Scorer award, meanwhile, will be staying in Italy with Gabriele Gori, who ran away with the honour by scoring an impressive 16 goals - six more than the next highest scorers, team-mate Emmanuele Zurlo and Russia's Fedor Zemskov. Gori won the same award two years ago at Bahamas 2017 when he scored 17 goals. FIFA.com reviews all of the Paraguay 2019 award winners.

adidas Golden Ball: Ozu Moreira Japan

Japan's captain Ozu Moreira put in impressive performances from match one all the way through to their play-off for third place against Russia. A leader for Ruy Ramos's team, Ozu was a defensive rock while simultaneously posing a serious attacking threat to any team he faced. He started his tournament off with a bang, hitting a rocket of a free-kick from almost the entire length of the pitch, and he never looked back.

adidas Silver Ball: Jordan Portugal

Jordan's importance to the champions cannot be understated. The best example came in the final as he scored a hat-trick to lead his nation to its second beach soccer world title. Any player who's near the top of both goals (7) and assists (4) lists deserves to be among among the best.

adidas Bronze Ball: Be Martins Portugal

One of the main reasons Portugal are the ones bringing home the trophy is because of their balance of a stout defence combined with attacking flair. Be Martins exemplified their game, an all-rounder with defensive nous and spellbinding skill.

adidas Golden Scorer: Gabriele Gori Italy

Gabriele Gori jumped to the top of the goalscoring chart after the first matchday and never looked back. His stunning opening-game display against Tahiti set the tone for the rest of his tournament and he continued to score crucial goals to eventually lead Italy to their first final since 2008.

adidas Silver Scorer: Emmanuele Zurlo Italy

Gori's team-mate Emmanuele Zurlo was deadly in front of goal throughout Paraguay 2019, proving to be an effective threat off the bench for Emiliano Del Duca. His standout moment came in the quarter-finals against Switzerland when he scored a hat-trick including, most notably, a last-second winner to send Azzurri into the final four.

adidas Bronze Scorer: Fedor Zemskov Russia

Beach soccer's a sport that encourages players to express themselves, and Fedor Zemskov was a player who stood out for his acrobatic and unique goals. This strike against Belarus sums Zemskov up perfectly.

adidas Golden Glove: Andrade Portugal

One of the most interesting personal-pathway-to-beach-soccer stories at Paraguay 2019 is Andrade's. After spells at some massive football clubs, he switched to beach soccer to represent Portugal, and what a fine job he did in-between the posts.

FIFA Fair Play Trophy: Senegal

Thanks to their outstanding disciplinary record throughout their four matches in Paraguay, Senegal are worthy winners of the FIFA Fair Play Trophy. The winners of the African qualifying tournament advanced to the quarter-finals, where they fell to Portugal 4-2, and performed well on the sand and behaved with respect towards their opponents and match officials.
